
The problems with X ( Twitter) are numerous, many but not all stem from it’s acquisition by Elon Musk in 2022, these include a surge in hate speech and racism, political interference, misinformation, the increase in automated accounts, extremism and most recently the proliferation of CSAM (Child sexual abuse material)

Musk has being leveraging his significant following to amplify right-wing content and ideologies as well as right-wing political parties such as Reform UK and Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) German, while publicly calling for the destruction of the European Union.

Union Busting
Musk has a history of attacking the European Union and it’s digital regulation and safeguards. He has called for the EU to be abolished, comparing the bloc to the Nazi regime while also personally threatening the individuals who were involve in EU fines against X. Recently X bans European Commission from making ads

Won’t someone think of the children
The latest controversy centers on X’s Grok AI chatbot generating non-consensual deepfake sexualised images of children and women, which is illegal under Ireland’s child sexual abuse legislation. With many groups including The Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) and Digital Rights Ireland (DRI) are calling on An Garda Síochána to urgently investigate X.
